Naval Medical Administrative Unit Monterey

Naval Medical Admin Unit (NMAU) Monterey, serves as the medical liaison office for all Navy and Marine Corps service members attached to Naval Post Graduate School, the Defense Language Institute, Naval Support Activity Monterey, Fleet Numerical and Oceanography and several other smaller tenant commands. The mission of NMAU is to provide medical support services in order to detect and resolve issues impacting unit and individual mission requirements. Services provided include: suitability screenings for all Operational duty screenings, the administrative portion of the Periodic Health Assessment, health benefits advisement for international students, consultation and referral authorization, limited duty and medical evaluation board coordinator, preventive medicine and industrial hygiene inspections of Naval Support Activity Monterey.

We recommend scheduling appointments 60 days prior for any Special Duty, Retirement or Separation Physicals.  Schedule your appointment by calling: 1(866)957-2256. 
 
Physicals appointments are completed into two parts. PART 1 is with the Readiness Team and PART 2 is with the Provider.
All Navy and Marine Corps personnel will conduct business in the Uniform of the Day unless you are in a leave or liberty status.

  • ​After hours, please use the Nurse Advice Line at 1 (800)874-2273, option 1. to answer your urgent care questions or to give you health care advice, help you find a doctor, or schedule a next-day appointment at the Army Health Clinic or Pediatrics. NOTE: If treated in an Emergency Room, please follow up with your PCM team the next duty day.  
Active duty service members are REQUIRED to enroll in TRICARE Prime and MUST fill out an enrollment application.

The Walk-in Contraceptive Services Clinic is held every Thursday from 7:30 - 11 a.m. at the main side OB/GYN window at Naval Health Clinic Lemoore.  First come, first served.
