Health Clinics

Branch Health Clinic Fallon

Naval Air Station Fallon is a remote duty station with 14 tenant commands that provides support to Naval Aviation Warfare Development Center (NAWDC), a major stakeholder in the current area of operations (AOR).  Naval Branch Health Clinic (NBHC) Fallon / Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Unit Fallon (NMRTU), is a tenant command and branch clinic of Naval Health Clinic Lemoore/ Navy Medicine and Readiness Training Command Lemoore.

NBHC Fallon provides limited primary care to active duty, retirees, and their dependents.  Dental services are provided for active duty only.  Additionally, NBHC Fallon supports a “must-see” population not organic to the command or enrolled to the clinic and is comprised of NATO personnel, training detachments, personnel in a temporary active-duty status supporting NAWDC training platforms and carrier air wing (CVW) pre-deployment work-ups.

*Remote duty screenings are REQUIRED for active duty and their dependents prior to transfer to NAS Fallon.*

After Hours: If you experience a medical condition that needs to be seen outside of regular working hours or over a weekend, call the Nurse Advice Line 1-800-TRICARE Option #1. If you have a medical emergency report to the nearest Emergency Room and follow up with your primary care manager the next business day.
SPECIALTY CARE / REFERRAL
Most specialty care providers are located in Reno and Carson City, approximately 71 miles from Fallon, requiring a drive of at least one hour. Specialty care requires a referral. Referrals are submitted by a Primary Care Manager and processed by Health Net Federal Services.

OBSTETRIC CARE
Pregnant beneficiaries in Fallon will be referred for obstetrical care in the civilian network. The Obstetrician will become the Primary Care Manager for the duration of the pregnancy, delivery and post-partum> period. After the post-partum period, enrolled TRICARE Prime beneficiaries will return to Naval Branch Health Clinic (NBHC) Fallon for all care.

PEDIATRIC CARE
All pediatric beneficiaries, from birth to age 18, will be seen at NBHC Fallon.  As a reminder, TRICARE requires newborns to be registered within 90 days of birth.

URGENT CARE
TRICARE Prime Beneficiaries that are not Active Duty members do not require a referral to be seen at an Urgent Care clinic. Active Duty Service Members must have a referral prior to going to an Urgent Care Clinic.  During normal clinic hours call you’re Primary Care Manager. After hours and on weekends call Health Net Federal Services at 844-866-9378.

EMERGENCY CARE
Naval Branch Health Clinic Fallon does NOT have an Emergency Room (ER). If you feel that you have an emergency, go to the nearest ER. After the emergency is taken care of, contact the clinic at 775-426-3125 to schedule a follow up with your Primary Care Manager within 24 hours.  A referral is not needed by any patient to go to the Emergency Room.

DENTAL
Naval Branch Health Clinic Fallon  provides general dental services for active duty only.  Specialty care available through referrals.

EFMP
The Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) identifies sponsors of family members with special medical, medically related, and educational needs. The program ensures Exceptional Family Members and sponsors who require ongoing specialized medical care are located within major medical treatment facility areas. The Navy encourages sponsor EFMP enrollment at least 10 months prior to a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) move so the detailer will have time to work with the sponsor and pinpoint the best possible assignment to meet both Navy and family special needs. Please contact the EFMP Coordinator, at (775) 426-3111 or (775)-426-3125 for more information about this program.
