Referral of Primary Care Services to the TRICARE Network Beginning June 1, 2023

Over the next year, Naval Health Clinic Lemoore will have a shortage of primary care providers.  Appointments for routine primary care will only be available for our active duty and active duty family members.

A message was sent via the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal this morning, May 30, 2023, to the following beneficiaries:
  • Retiree or a family member of a retiree enrolled in TRICARE Prime, your enrollment continues with Naval Health Clinic Lemoore.
    • To get routine care, you must call the NHCL appointment line at 559-998-0889 for a referral to the TRICARE network. Please ensure this referral is in place before seeking care to prevent unnecessary billing.
    • You are responsible for your TRICARE Prime copayments.

  • TRICARE Plus beneficiary, you should plan now to find a new primary care manager using your TRICARE Select, Medicare or other health insurance for at least the next year.
    • Naval Health Clinic Lemoore will provide referrals and assist with coordinating this network care.  Please ensure this referral is in place before seeking care to prevent unnecessary billing.

You still have access to pharmacy, immunizations, limited specialty clinics (on a space available basis), and the urgent care clinic. 

There will be many questions during this process and a system has put in place to assist all patients with questions and concerns.
